The West Virginia Record reported that a man in Charleston is suing Beverly Enterprises Inc. over the home’s alleged negligence. Edward Morton states that his mother, Loretta Morton, suffered dehydration and multiple UTIs, resulting from the home’s failure to provide liquids and catheter care, which led to her condition. Additionally, Mr. Morton charged that the home failed to create a care plan for his mother’s risk of dehydration. As a direct result of the home’s negligence, Loretta Morton suffered bodily harm, physical defects, medical expenses, and loss of capacity to enjoy life, the lawsuit charges.
